I have been the advisor for the Beta Alpha Kappa chapter of Phi Theta Kappa since August 2007.  I’ve been teaching in the Business Department at Hawkeye Community College since 1982.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Graceland College/University; I earned a Master of Education degree from Iowa State University. I am married, and we will celebrate our 34^th anniversary in 2016.  We have one son (an entrepreneur); I have four siblings–three brothers and one sister; my dad lives in Arizona; and my mother is my guardian angel.
