Lisa Christen
Northeast District Vice President 2015 - 2016
After realizing Zoology was not for me, I thought about my skills and what career I could possibly pursue. My mind kept going back to something with Photoshop, however, I could not see myself as a graphic designer or a photographer or anything like that. That is when I took a chance on a business class and business felt right. I tried out an accounting class and loved it. Now I will be transferring to the University of Northern Iowa from Kirkwood Community College in the Fall of 2016 to major in Accounting and possibly Finance or some other business major. I hope to get my CPA after graduating from UNI. Photography will always be a hobby of mine and I will try my best to balance it out with my Netflix addiction, but I am making no promises.
Phi Theta Kappa has helped to refine my leadership skills and has given me the opportunity for some great experiences, but what I love most about Phi Theta Kappa is the supportive feeling I get every single time I am around my Phi Theta Kappa family. I have learned a lot as a regional officer and have gotten to meet some wonderful people.
