B.A. & M.A., Purdue University: Rich teaches Fundamentals of Oral Communication, Public Speaking and coordinates the freshman orientation course at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids. Rich has been an active member of Phi Theta Kappa for the last 17 years.  He received the Robert Giles Distinguished Advisor award in 2005.  He was also elected as the first President of the Executive Board of the Iowa Region of Phi Theta Kappa, the honor society for two year colleges in 2013.  Rich has been married for 26 years and has three grown children ages 26,24,21.
